As an effort to divert excess stormwater from streets and properties, the City is developing ways to create stormwater detention sites around the city.  These sites can be incorporated into new development projects, existing open spaces, and on alternate sites obtained by the City.  Many of these detention projects are in coordination with Community School District 205, Elmhurst Park District,  DuPage County and other local entities and organizations.
