Washington Street (north of Madison Ave): The contractor has completed installation of all underground utilities and completed installation of new concrete curb and driveway aprons. Over the next week or two the contractor is scheduled to remove the remainder of the asphalt pavement on Washington Street, install new street lighting conduits, restore the parkways with sod, and repave the street.
Madison School Detention Basin: The contractor has completed installation of underdrain system and finished building the retaining wall in the bottom of the basin. Over the next week or two the contractor is scheduled to finish the basin with topsoil and seed, install sod in the parkways, repave the adjacent intersections, and install fence around the perimeter of the basin.
Currently the basin is “on-line” and can accept 6.25 AC-FT of stormwater during large rain events; providing flood reduction benefits to the homes on Washington between Madison and McKinley.
